    Last Updated: November 8, 2014

    The privacy and the security of your information is very important to us. The purpose of our Security Policy is to explain to you what information we collect from you; how we use that information; under what circumstances we share that information; how we protect that information; and, what choices are available to you.

    We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully before using our website, our services and/or transacting business with us (whether online, in person or over the telephone). If you have questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us via email LINK or at the physical address provided below.

    What Information Do We Collect?

    When you visit our website we collect two types of information: website use information and personal information.

    A. WEBSITE USE INFORMATION, is collected automatically in the aggregate (grouped together with other users). Website use information includes:
    i. Log files: When you access our website your web-browser and our server automatically communicate with each other and information is logged (collected), including, but not limited to, your IP (“Internet Protocol”) address, browser type, operating system, access times, the URL (“Universal Resource Locator”) of the referring website, and the content of any undeleted “cookies” that your browser previously accepted from our site;
    ii. Cookies: (a/k/a HTTP cookies), are text files that contain a unique ID tag. When you use our website we assign your computer one or more cookies. Cookies automatically collect information about you including, but not limited to, your browser or device, your activity on our website such as what pages you visit and what clicks you make while visiting our site. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to disable cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, you will still be able to access our website.

    B. PERSONAL INFORMATION. Personal information is only collected when you decide to share it with us. If you use our website, for instance to upload a file, subscribe to our email newsletter, or to place an online order, we may collect the following personal information from you:
    i. Your email address
    ii. Your user name
    iii. Your site password
    iv. Your full name
    v. Your telephone number
    vi. Your shipping address
    vii. Your email preference
    viii. Your credit card type
    ix. Your credit card number
    x. Your credit card expiration date
    xi. Your credit card billing address
    We also collect most of this information if you place an order in person in our store or over the telephone (although we avoid taking credit card information over the telephone and strongly discourage you from placing credit card information in your email).

    How Do We Use The Information We Collect?

    We use the information we collect to:
    i. Communicate with you
    ii. Check the validity of your credit card
    iii. Pay your bill
    iv. Provide you with order history information
    v. Provide you with billing history information
    vi. Improve our website
    Log files and cookies help us improve our website because they give us information about which browsers our visitors are using, whether our visitors arrived at our site via a wired computer or a mobile device, what keywords our visitors used when searching for us and searching our site, and how our visitors arrive at our site, for example, via web search, link, blog, advertisement, etc.

    Under What Circumstances Do We Share The Information We Collect?

    First, we do not share, sell or lease any of your personally identifiable information (such as your email address, name, shipping address, telephone number, etc.) with any advertiser, marketer or list management company. We may share or disclose your personally identifiable information to the extent it is necessary for us to do so to process transactions and provide services that you have requested. For example:
    i. When we process your credit card authorization;
    ii. When we hire other companies to perform work in fulfilling your order;
    iii. When we ship your product via USPS, UPS, FedEx or other shipping companies.

    There are other (rare) circumstances where we may share or disclose your personally identifiable information, including, but not limited to:
    i. Where required or compelled by law, such as a valid subpoena or court order. If we are legally permitted to do so we will delay disclosure of the information being sought until we have given the subject of the subpoena or court order notice of the legal process and a reasonable amount of time to take whatever action the subject may desire;
    ii. Debt collection proceedings in the event we are required to resort to same in order to collect payment from you;
    iii. Identifying any persons or entities we suspect of violating our Terms of Service;
    iv. Other lawful purposes including protecting the physical and/or economic safety of our users and of the public.

    How Do We Protect Your Information?

    We use Authorize.net, which provides us with payment gateway that enables us to authorize, process, and manage your credit card transactions in a real-time, online environment. Consequently we do not keep or store your credit card information online. In fact we use the latest SSL (“secure socket layer”) encryption technology for all of our credit card processing, whether you are buying online or in our store. Your other personal data are stored on our secure host servers which are all located in the United States of America. You data are only accessible to a small number of people who have access to the back-end of our website. Each of these people (“webmasters”) has their own unique user name and password. Each time a webmaster logs in to our website all of his/her activities are logged. There is one Super Administrator who has the ability to monitor and control all of the other webmasters.

    Consent

    By using this website you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

    Data Retention Policy

    If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.

    We make every effort to save files for as long as we believe they may reasonably be needed. It can be difficult to judge when a file may no longer be worth saving, however we attempt to do so in a commercially reasonable manner.

    Files are stored digitally on our own in-house server. The server is password protected and reasonable efforts are make to ensure the server is backed up daily and the backup tapes are changed weekly. We try to keep at least one reasonably current backup tape off-site at all times. We like to think of this in terms of a overnight canoe trip. If you put all your gear in the other canoe, even if you flip you’ll still have dry cloths to wear. You get the idea.

    Opt Out

    We may from time to time use your personal information to provide you with news or special offers. We may also occasionally invite you to participate in a customer survey. If you do not wish to receive such communications from us, you may opt-out here UNSUBSCRIBE PAGE.

    Privacy/Security Policy Changes

    This Privacy/Security Policy may be updated from time to time. You should visit this page frequently to review any such updates.
